The City of Elkhart has established a Parks and Recreation Board to serve as an advisory body to advise and assist the Council in exercising its power to establish, purchase, maintain, and regulate the use of community sports facilities, open space, community facilities, parks and playgrounds, and to provide recreational and playground facilities.
